A little bit about me..
I studied Economics at Swansea University and qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in 2001.
I’m married to Julia (23 years and counting) and I’m the proud father of two daughters aged 17 and 19.
I’m a passionate Derby County fan and I love reading - mostly history.
And I am also kept quite busy running Dad’s taxi service!
Q: What attracted you to Loomis?
I joined Loomis UK in 2008 as Financial Controller.
I’d been working at Egg for the previous four years but was attracted to Loomis due to the size of the business and the ambitions of the organisation. It was a great opportunity to be part of a large global business (which listed on the Stockholm stock exchange shortly after I joined) and there were plenty of interesting challenges following the divestment of Loomis Cash Management in 2007.
Q: What is it like working at Loomis? What do you enjoy most about your role?
I really enjoy the fact that every day at Loomis is different, with new challenges and opportunities - and I know many of my colleagues feel the same way.
Since I joined Loomis I’ve worked with (and sometimes directly managed) all areas of the business. This insight into all ‘moving parts’ of Loomis makes my job as Finance Director much easier as I have an in-depth understanding of what drives our finances.
And whilst this may sound like a cliché, it is our people that make Loomis a great place to work, delivering the service excellence which is a key differentiator in the UK cash market.
Q: One final thought?
Great People, Great Business!
