Although Richard may be a new face in the SME team, he’s no stranger to Loomis, having had first hand experience of the Loomis service as a customer.
So Richard, tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to Loomis…
At the point of writing I’m just five weeks into my Loomis career, and loving it! I’m delighted to have already met and interacted with so many supportive, talented and knowledgeable people who have helped me to integrate into the SME team.
As you can imagine, the role of the SME team is to interact with small to medium sized businesses and help them onboard to Loomis smoothly and cost-effectively for their businesses.
I really enjoy the variety of the role and helping so many different businesses find the right Loomis solution for their cash management and processing needs.
Prior to joining Loomis I was with Curry’s as a specialist in Mobiles but previously I has spent 15 years as a Food Retail Manager for Greggs.
It was whilst I was at Greggs that I experienced Loomis as a service user; I met many of the drivers and was always impressed and happy with the service.
So, when I saw an opportunity to join the Loomis SME team being advertised I literally jumped at the chance!
And now I’m here I can honestly say I have never met such a friendly or approachable group of people.
Outside of work, I love to relax by playing with my dog Flo, a silly Labradoodle who keeps me on my toes!
My partner and I also love gardening and theme parks - from one reasonably sedate pastime to another which is anything but - go, go Nemesis!
In conclusion, working in the SME team is fantastic.The support while learning the role has been in-depth and very helpful. I feel a sense of pride working with the team and I love being able to use my knowledge and insights as a previous service user to help support our clients during their transition to Loomis.
