MEET THE TEAM: Mark Beddoe

A little bit about me..

I’m a proud family man, with three daughters and four grandchildren (up to now!).

I love travel and live music; I would like to say I’m a guitarist too but despite several years of trying I’m still terrible!

Q: What attracted you to Loomis?

I joined Loomis in early 2010, primarily to source, implement and support a new finance system across the UK business. I had previously managed the finance department of a well known ‘stack it high, sell it cheap’ national retailer before joining a financial software house as a consultant, then progressing to senior project manager before ending up as Deputy Director of Sales.

Loomis caught my attention because the role allowed me to make use of my skills and to cut back on the ridiculous amounts of travelling I was doing within the software industry. Loomis looked like a really dynamic and interesting business to get involved in - and Tim Gibbs did a good job of selling it to me!

I ‘d envisaged I would be with Loomis for three or four years whilst I delivered the new finance system project but here I am, 14 years later and very content with the way my role has developed, expanded - and enjoying the variety it provides day after day.

Q: What is it like working at Loomis? What do you enjoy most about your role?

I can honestly say Iove working at Loomis. The business is dynamic and progressive and no day is ever the same.

I’ve been blessed with leading fantastic teams and there are always interesting challenges and projects to get stuck into. Very importantly, my management has always given me the support to get on and deal with those challenges and projects.

Q: One final thought?

It’s not a job if you love what you do and feel appreciated for doing it.
