MEET THE TEAM: Erin Grace

A little bit about me..

I’ve had varied work history, which has seen me designing trains as an Industrial Designer, working with winemakers in Australia, and various other temping positions along the way.

I first found myself in the world of HR in 2018 and, since then, I've been fortunate enough to work across a number of sectors - from a children's charity to a very structured corporate utility company. These contrasting roles and differing work environments have allowed me to meet some wonderful people, identify my strengths and acquire new skills.

Q: What attracted you to Loomis?

Loomis' core values of People, Service and Integrity really captured my attention. I truly believe that positive culture, people focus and mutual respect are the foundations of a kind and productive working environment.

Q: What is it like working at Loomis? What do you enjoy most about your role?

As the Recruitment & Support Officer at Loomis, I will be focussing on the 'new starter experience', which encompasses recruitment advertising, managing applications, onboarding, and probationary periods.

I’ve started out by visiting several branches to get a feel for things and see how the business operates day to day, and I will be visiting many more regularly as time goes on.

The welcoming and supportive attitude of all colleagues I have met at the outset is something I intend to emulate when working with new starters across the business.

I'm excited to learn more about Loomis through data collection - whether that be surveys, one-to-one conversations with starters/leavers, or group discussions. I’m also keen to hear the thoughts and feelings of colleagues across all branches to understand how Recruitment and HR can help individuals and teams to thrive.

Q: And to relax out of work?

Outside of work, I love to do anything arts and craft related; embroidery, crochet, sewing, beading, sculpting, drawing, painting, weaving - you name it!

I must admit, it's possible that I particularly enjoy these creative hobbies as I can do them whilst in my pjs on the sofa!
