Having very much enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many successful, innovative businesses at the recent National Pub and Bar Awards, at which Loomis was a co-sponsor, we’re off up to Scotland in September for the Scottish Local Retailer Awards, again as a co-sponsor.In our experience, sense of community is very strong in certain areas of Scotland and vibrant, healthy, local retailing is vital to these communities.
The fact that these awards are now in their 21st year recognises the importance of the sector.
Looking at the short list of entrants, the sector looks to be extremely diverse and interesting, with awards ranging from Bread & Bakery Retailer of the Year, Community Involvement Retailer of the Year, Food-to-Go Retailer of the Year, Sustainability Retailer of the Year, Scottish Brands Retailer of the Year to Team of the Year - and more sectors too numerous to mention here!
The Loomis team is looking forward to meeting the finalists on Wednesday 6 September at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow.
