A Little Bit About Me…
Q: What attracted you to Loomis?
At a time in my life when I had just turned 50, I was made redundant from what I believed was a secure role after 10 years with the company. I remember feeling frightened and overwhelmed by the prospect of finding a new job at the grand old age of 50.
How wrong I was.
Loomis gave me a new home, a renewed sense of purpose, and a whole new set of challenges. Those challenges came quickly, and 16 years later we're still running to keep up. As anyone who works at Loomis knows, we don't stand still for long.
Q: What is it like working at Loomis? What do you enjoy most about your role?
There are many words I could use to describe working at Loomis: challenging, demanding, worthwhile, meaningful, reflective, exciting, and amazing. Together, they capture the full spectrum of my experience here.
What truly makes Loomis special, though, is the people. If you take the time to get to know them, you'll find that most of us want the same things: to support our families and to do a good job.
What do I enjoy most about my role? Without question, it's the team I have the privilege of working alongside every day. They make me smile, and when times are tough, we support each other through those moments too.
Q: One final thought?
I firmly believe that if you treat everyone you meet with kindness and respect, and in the way you would wish to be treated yourself, you'll rarely go far wrong.
Both personally and professionally, integrity is at the heart of everything we do.
